Doggie Daycare | Groomer

Jennifer O., Doggie Daycare Technician

I relocated from Topeka looking for a fresh start, and the beach. Luckily, I also got a new job working here. I grew up caring for animals that I found and was happy to see I could obtain a career in my life long passion. I have actively operated my own rescue for reptiles and amphibians where I rehabilitated and re-homed them. Receiving a therapy dog of my own to manage anxiety helped me recognize the health benefits of canine companionship and allowed me to get beyond the constraints of my anxiety. I would love to further my education with a focus on exotic animals, or ornithology, and assist in a bird sanctuary environment.

Jacob, Doggie Daycare Technician

I have always loved animals, and the beach, but it was an internship at the Conservator's Center that gave me the experience and perspective to devote my life to caring for animals. Regardless of the species, my desire is to provide comfort, love and assistance to animals that need it. After working in boarding and animal daycare facilities, I chose to become part of the Atlantic Animal Hospital team in 2016 for the exposure to both the medical and everyday animal care. Here I have the opportunity to bond with your pet on a daily basis and help them when they are sick. I am fortunate to share my home with my wonderful girlfriend, a leopard gecko named Geek, and my great furry canine companions, Murphy and Kong.

Nick S., Doggie Daycare Technician

I was born in Boston Massachusetts and then later moved to Chapel Hill. I came to Wilmington for the beach and school. I love animals because they can sense what's going on around them and they always want to be there to cheer you up when you are having a RUFF day. I chose to join the AAH team because they have a great reputation for caring for animals and I wanted to be a part of that. I want to further my knowledge and improve my ability to work with animals closely and am excited to see what is in store for me in the future!

Victoria, Doggie Daycare Technician

I was born and raised on a small island in Massachusetts. I moved to Wilmington after high school to be with friends and family. I grew up around animals, working in a barn and have also worked at other kennel/ doggy day care environments. I love working with animals because they are so caring and always help you feel better when you are having a rough day. I have always wanted to work in an animal hospital to help them when they are in need. I chose AAH because I wanted to help achieve their mission to give great pet care and improve animal's lives. I currently have 2 dogs of my own whom I love dearly. I hope to continue to learn and advance in pet care to one day complete the vet tech program.

Anna, Groomer

Anna has been working hands on with animals since her teenage years. Before beginning her professional grooming career, she worked in groom shops as a bather, assisting other experienced groomers. While in college, she continued to develop her skills and became a groomer herself. But her love of working with animals inspired her to fulfill grooming as her full time, life long career. Anna has been perfecting her skills in the art of grooming as a full time groomer for over 10 years. She continues to attend various seminars and trade shows to keep up with the latest styles, techniques and trends in the grooming industry. She has taught a pet care class for special needs students at cape fear, and has done service work for adoption agencies. She has a deep love for animals, especially her fur babies, Chester a sweet Cavapoo, and Lou a very loving long hair kitty. Her desire is to provide your pet with an exceptional groom and give them the love and attention they deserve.

Slade, Doggie Daycare Technician

I was born and raised right here in Wilmington NC. I love animals because they are sweet and can make anybody happy under any circumstance. I wanted to work at an animal hospital because I get to spend all day with some really awesome dogs! I have had pets my entire life so I was thrilled to have the opportunity to join Atlantic and spend all day with your pets. I have 3 dogs and 4 cats of my own. As of now, I am still deciding on what I want to do with my future but being a part of AAH was a good start as I look forward to what the future holds.
