Fun facts about you? My favorite movie is still The Wizard of Oz, since I was atleast 5 years old.
Tell us about your pets: I have two assie mix rescue pups(Foster and Noli), my bestest most fabulous boy Fitz, his princess of a sister, Cricket and a grand-pug named Sprout
What is your dream pet? Fitz is it!
What made you want to work with animals? My dad is a vet so I have always loved animals but I didn’t want to have a career in vet med. I wanted to work in land planning and environmental planning. Sometimes the path we plan isn’t the path we are meant to follow. I never knew I would love what I do so much.
How long have you been at Atlantic? Since August 2013
Favorite thing about Atlantic? I always feel challenged and appreciated.

Assistant Practice Manager

Since I was 15 years old, I have been working with animals and have held positions in the kennel, reception and as a technician. I have been part of the Atlantic Animal Hospital family since 1993, and while my positions here have changed over the years, my love of animals has only grown. When I am not in the office, I spend my time with my children, husband, 3 cats and sun conure “Mango”.

Even though I have lived in Georgia most of my life, I still call North Carolina home. After graduating in Psychology from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of different industries from information technology to becoming a teaching tennis professional. Through these experiences, I grew my passion for customer success, education, and community service. However, something was missing, my passion for animal health and our human bond with them. In 2011, I brought my diverse skill set and started working in veterinary medicine. During my journey, I have worked in general practice, low cost spay and neuter clinics, and specialty and emergency hospitals. I am excited for my opportunity with  Atlantic Animal Hospital and Pet Care Resort and look forward to providing the best possible experience for you and your four-legged family.

If I am not training for a triathlon, enjoying the outdoors, or watching college football, you may find me hanging out with my three “amigos” – Dakota, my 12-year-old “dingo,” Klaus, my 11-year-old german pinscher, and Lucas, my 8-year-old chihuahua/jack russell mix. Yes, Lucas rules the house.
